About
Working with data is about more than describing problems. It is a catalyst for solving them.
I lead and support organizations through and beyond complex challenges with strategic planning, systems analysis, and practical process improvement. My work combines technical experience with a grounded understanding of the people and communities the data represents.
My career has spanned research, direct service, database administration, and systems level work. My path began as a research assistant in an affective neuroscience lab, applying statistical methods to complex datasets. From there I moved into direct service, working in advocacy, operations, and case management in both emergency shelter and safe home environments. That combination of experiences shaped how I approach data and beyond now. Behind every number is a person’s life and story.
I later expanded into systems work at the Metro Denver Homelessness Initiative, first in data quality and then later analysis for the Homelessness Management Information System. There I developed expertise in HUD data standards, reporting, and database management. I completed extensive work analyzing and improving data quality across the system, from end-user to programmatic enrollment data and the Coordinated Entry system itself.
Today, as an independent consultant, I bring these experiences together to help organizations understand what's actually happening within their systems and data. More importantly, I provide guidance and support on what to do about it. Through analysis and testing, I dig until I find where things are actually getting stuck. Then I build strategies and design processes around what will genuinely work, not just what looks clean on paper.
I don't just analyze data, I reveal the story that it holds. From the State of Homelessness 2024 report to custom dashboards for community providers, my work focuses on making complex systems legible to the people who need to make decisions with them.
